Time Share Information:

Something you should know before you go!

While you're enjoying your vacation, you will more than likely be approached by at least one salesperson from the many time-share companies at your destination.

Airport passenger arrival areas and exit corridors are exceptionally high centers for time-share activity, as are hotels and resorts.
Time-share salespeople at airport exit corridors pose themselves as passenger assistance/information center representatives.

Here are a few suggestions:

  • 1) Say, “No thank you.” Say it again if you have no interest.
  • 2) If you do attend the presentation, be sure that you get the free gift offered before you attend.
  • 3) Consider if you really want to make a financial decision while you’re on your vacation. You may want to wait until you return home. Give yourself time to think about it.
  • 4) If you feel that buying a time-share makes sense, you may want to look into buying one from the many re-sale units that are on the market. You will find thousands of units only a few years old selling at discounted prices.
  • 5) Upon your return home, check with the Better Business Bureau on what you should know about purchasing a time-share.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, YOU ARE ON VACATION AND IT’S TIME TO RELAX. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MAKE A MAJOR FINANCIAL DECISION THAT COULD COST YOU THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN THE FUTURE.

Important information regarding yout awaiting tour representative at the airport:

Tour company representatives are not permitted in the airport immigration and arrival areas. You will see your representative when you have exited the airport buildings. Do not miss your transfer provided!! After clearing immigration, please proceed to the baggage claim area where you should collect your luggage. Then, continue through customs and directly to the airport exit where your uniformed representative will be waiting for you.

He/she will be holding a sign identifying themselves with their respective tour company.
